My first political experience was with Mao Tse-Tung on 1968-69.
That political experience occured in Sudan not in China! I could
possibly see right now some surprises on the faces of my valued
readers.
That was exactly before the second Sudanese military dictator
Ga'far Numeri took over power through his coup d'etat in May 25,

Kyrgyzstan's swift and sudden revolution happened almost before
one could have managed to pronounce this obscure country's name.
The chaos in the country where activists chased away their
ruling leaders show a country coming to terms with a colonial
past and on a quest to find a new identity. Despite the looting

If democracy is any more up for a redefinition anywhere, now
would be the time and the Middle East would be the place. Events
in Iraq and the elections of the Palestians had a contageous
effect in other Middle Eastern countries too. For the first time

"Democracy" is not the rule of the people. It is government by
periodically vetted representatives of the people.
Democracy is not tantamount to a continuous expression of the
popular will as it pertains to a range of issues. Functioning
and fair democracy is representative and not participatory.
